Over the past six years, Downtown’s catalog has grown to include over 60,000 copyrights, including the works of John Lennon & Yoko Ono, hard rock legends Mötley Crüe, renowned film composer Hans Zimmer, influential punk rockers Social Distortion, pop songstress Ellie Goulding and the critically acclaimed artist and actor Mos Def. Downtown writers have penned hit singles for artists such as Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Keith Urban, & Rihanna. Recently, Billboard Magazine recognized this chart success by ranking the company as one of the top ten music publishers in the United States.

Justin Kalifowitz is a 12 year veteran of the music publishing business. Prior to joining Downtown in 2007, Kalifowitz was Head of A&R at Spirit Music Publishing where he was named to Billboard’s “30 Under 30” top executives and previously held positions at RCA & Virgin Records.
Joining the company in 2008, Andrew Bergman oversees business affairs and general operations. Bergman began his career in Business Affairs at Island Records and was a partner with law firms Roberts & Ritholz LLP and Davis Shapiro Lewit & Hayes.
Downtown’s CFO, Dan Lieblein, oversees all financial and royalty operations at the Company. Formally the CFO of Cherry Lane Music Publishing, October Films & USA Films, Lieblien joined Downtown in 2010.
Downtown’s expert Creative Services team, led by Senior Vice President Jedd Katrancha, pulls from a shared history covering music supervision, licensing and major label A&R.
Overseen by Vice President Sean McGraw, the Global Administration team includes executives from leading publishing, performing rights, and digital licensing agencies.
The Downtown Royalties team is led by Young Hwang, a 20-year veteran of leading independent music publishers including BMG Rights Management, Cherry Lane and Music Sales.

Songtrust, a leading provider of B2B rights management software, is the music technology division of Downtown Music Publishing. The company’s engineering team has developed a range of proprietary applications that power Downtown’s administration and creative platforms. In addition, Songtrust has developed the world’s first self-service publishing administration solution for emerging songwriters and artists.
Music & Strategy is Downtown’s in-house music strategy division. Established in 2011, MAS is a joint-venture with leading music supervision firm Clearsongs (Entourage, Black Swan, Smash). MAS provides a range of music strategy, licensing and original composition services to leading consumer, fashion and technology companies such as Apple, Diane Von Furstenberg, Kate Spade, Kraft, Microsoft and Zynga.
